BACKGROUND AND AWARDS
Joanne trained as a press photographer with the multi-award winning
photographic team at the Irish News, under the supervision of Ann
McManus and Brendan Murphy. During this time she won three awards,
being ‘Overall Newcomer of the Year’ and ‘Newcomer of the Year – Print
Category’ at the IPR Awards, as well as taking third place in the News
Category of the Press Photographer of the Year Awards. She is a member
of the Northern Ireland Press Photographers Association (NIPPA).
